AI SLoP KRRRL -- November 2025

I dipped back into experimenting with AI ART after being consumed by printmaking for a few months:

  • Maybe the monkeys rode in with the javelinas 40 million years ago, instead of rafting to the Americas

In the video below I used old images previously generated with AI ART programs:
The old AI images were from the following blog posts:
Wouldn't it be nice to have these buildings instead of the War Zone right now:

(but I wish they did)

I used uploaded a Midjourney AI hallucination of Albuquerque in the 1960s -- and Marble WorldLabs generated a 3D gaussian splat 3D scene.  However I have to pay to download it:

I have recycled my AI images with more AI in the past:

REFLECTION

The more I use AI ART programs, the more limited I feel.  New AI ART programs are great -- but after a while they tend to generate the same image, at least in the same style, which smells like ammonia.  I commented on these limitations in a post at the end of last year (2024) -- Future of AI ART.

Moreover the AI ART programs censure my drawings a lot, which is a huge limitation. Moreover it won't put rabbit ears on a tapir.

Again, it seems like the future is to train my own AI Models on a private server, and then continue making new AI Models when they become too repetitive.  I suspect this is the approach of the future for anyone using AI to make art, be they an individual like me, or a big corporation.  I dunno...
