In July I continued to draw the figure with China Markers, trying to get darker lines; I trained on the ShopSabre to CNC stiff foam into tessellation pieces for quick printmaking; and I asked AI to improve my old drawings, as well as using double AI to generate entirely FAKE FAKE drawings in my style:
- TRIPLE AI from my Drawing Style:
- I improved an old bad abstract AI image, with AI using KREA -- and then ANIMATED the FAKE drawing below with AI:
- I continued to animate with Midjourney:
- The highlight of the month was when we pulled tessellation prints with Julie Sola in Las Vegas, New Mexico on July 24, 2025
DRAWINGS
PRINTS
The big event was pulling tessellation prints with JULIE SOLA in her studio -- FAT CROW PRESS -- in Las Vegas, New Mexico on July 24th, 2025:
I exhibited BUCKET EXHIBITION prints in a DISK RACK again, during the drawing session at FUSION on July 9th:
I trained on the ShopSabre at Quelab in order to CNC more Curvy Tessellation tiles. which we use to make prints like during the ATOMIC 66 Open House:
I laser cut two more piles
of "hat" tessellation linocuts on July 31st
- We discussed making prints with Detonography, which was the technique invented by Evelyn Rosenberg of New Mexico.
- OFFCENTER ARTS has a free printmaking workshop on Wednesdays, 5:30 - 7:30 PM
I also updated the BUCKET EXHIBITIONS blogs with all the latest EXQUISITE TESSELLATION Prints:
AI ART
FAKE FAKE KRRRL Drawings -- from double AI treatments -- that I did not draw at any stage:
I used KREA AI to generate FAKE KRRRL Drawings, from an AI model based on my drawings -- by uploading previous FAKE KRRRL Drawings generated by StyleGAN in RunwayML:
However AI makes my figure drawings more concrete, which has not always been my objective. I have wanted my figure drawings to be ambiguous and blend into space -- ultimately to deliver "two different mutually exclusive images at once." AI might be pushing me in the wrong direction.
LENTICULAR
LENTICULAR Images do deliver "two different mutually exclusive images at once." Adric added my AI generated javelina animation to his Walgreen's order, to make a Lenticular Javelina:
Adric ordered some individual lenticular images -- from ACTION PICTURES -- of my AI Portrait drawing, in both business card and a larger 5x5 inch size:
Ray LaRive had her opening at FOMA -- Fear of Missing Art -- gallery in Santa Fe on July 12, 2025:
I finally scanned in one of my dad's old comics from 1949, and altered and animated it with AI:
- Dan got me GITHUB (where I posted my AR Alien Javelina)
- I plan to submit the larger 5x5 inch lenticular portrait to the FRIDAY NIGHT FACES portrait exhibition coming up in September.
- Deep Dream Generator let me generate an AI Video in SeedDance for free one night only, July 7, 2025 (but it wasn't very good):
OTHER
- AUGUST 2025 is going to be a busy printmaking month.
