SUMMARY 2021
2021 was a creative year in spite of the
Covid 19 pandemic lockdown
The best things I did during 2021 were:
- AI (artificial intelligence) -- Alter my drawings further with more AI software (culminating in AI HOLOGRAMS)
- 3D -- Draw in 3D on the laptop (Public Domain downloadable 3D files)
- Tortilla Press -- Made 8 x 8 inch prints with the Tortilla Press (pioneered by Tres Gatos Press of Guadalajara).
- Plus AR (augmented reality), online collaborations and other Odd Projects
YouTube Summaries
These YouTube playlists and videos below showcase most of what I did in 2021:
FIVE VIDEOS of my Best Figures of 2021
ALL 45 of my VIDEOS from 2021
Having bought a hacked Tortilla Press from Joseph Velasquez, we started printing on the streets of New Mexico in August. We appropriated the idea from TRES GATOS PRESS, after printing with them on the streets of Guadalajara in 2019.
TORTILLA PRESS PRINTING
This momentum morphed into the BUCKET EXHIBITIONS approach -- of showing framed 8 x 8 inch prints in hit-and-run pop-up exhibitions (at smaller venues than Ambos Lados):
Tuesday Night Drawing Group Movie
Perhaps the best thing about 2021 was that the Santa Fe drawing group met on Zoom every Tuesday night, right through the Covid 19 pandemic, continuing the group that Eli Levin founded in 1969. John Tollett made a YouTube movie from the work of all the artists this year (including mine):

I continued to push my figures through any AI program that I found online. My favorite was the AI style transfer program Deep Dream Generator, at least until I found a bunch of VQGAN+CLIP programs since July 2021.
