Drawn at the New Mexico Art League in Albuquerque:
I had proofs made at New Grounds Print Workshop in Albuquerque, from 2 laser cuts. My drawing was laser cut into the wood, by Heat Sync Labs, in the first woodblock print:
In the second proof, the laser at FabLabAbq cut away all the area around the figure drawing, leaving a raised line, and thus making an inverse of the above image:
After converting a scan of a newsprint drawing, we sent a vector image to the laser cutter. The prints came out better than I expected, but there is still a lot of artistic work that needs to be done to bring the image up to par with traditional handcut woodblock prints.

Drawn in Tempe, Arizona at Studio 1307:
They even had casts to draw:
Last Wednesday the Heatsync folks burned one of my drawings into wood using the laser cutter at Gangplank in Chandler:
The Phoenix area has a lot of Hacker and co-working spaces, which might help push art into the 21st century:
Gangplank
Heatsync Labs
Open Source Project
Co+Hoots
Skysong Hackerspace
MakerBench
