AI IMAGES 2024 -- Evolution of Midjourney

I had a bumpy start trying to pay for Midjourney.  Most of last year they accepted a prepaid VISA or American Express gift cards.  However that no longer worked about November 2023, as it seems like STRIPE was refusing to accepted prepaid gift cards.

I was back on Midjourney by January 10th, 2024

Midjourney was very helpful whenever I contacted them, and figured out how to pay for another month.  However we never found a permanent solution that worked.  So I started paying for Midjourney with a business account by January 10th.

I got on Midjourney's Alpha stand-alone website on January 31st.

I've been unable to pay Midjourney since February 10th, as again they are not accepting my prepaid American Express gift card, even though there is money on the card (I can still get on the Midjourney Alpha website however).

My issues were more personal as MIDJOURNEY refused my payment again (I think this is a "Stripe" issue). I like Midjourney because it allows me to "BLEND" two images to generate something entirely different. At least I got to try out Midjourney's new Style Reference feature, which they released a
bout February 1st.

Consistent Characters

Midjourney added a new feature allowing people to make Consistent Characters using:

"--cref" followed by the URL of the source image

Cutout AI Blends

Midjourney has a new feature where they will let one "re-texture" an image that one uploads -- so I uploaded my abstract drawing and "re-textured" it with prompts referring to other artists:

Midjourney External Editor now allows one to upload an image, and will both add AI features or "retexture" the image:
