I managed to blend Printmaking and AI ART in the ALBU-BRIJE Print project, launching during the Grand Re-Opening of Quelab, with Augmented Reality that even carried over into El Paso in July 2026. This month went too fast:
- On July 18th, 2026, while I was in El Paso, Josh Kerr broke the world record for the mile at 3:42.66. He lives in Albuquerque and went to UNM.

PRINTMAKING
We had a busy printmaking month -- highlighted by the ALBU-BRIJE Print Project -- where we made our Albuquerque versions of ALEBRIJES, inspired by the 8 big Oaxaca ALEBRIJE & NAHUALES sculptures in downtown Albuquerque (June 1st to July 22nd, 2026):
ALBU-BRIJES
I scanned the ALBU-BRIJE prints and drawings, and used AI to them color and turn them into digital 3D objects. We then put those colored 3D ALBU-BRIJES into AUGMENTED REALITY, and took screen shots of them next to the REAL ALIBRIJES:
I emailed Michael Ogilvie from the City of Albuquerque about our ALBU-BRIJE Print Project. And I will also email Romain Greco too, as he organized the traveling ALEBRIJE & NAHUALES sculptures.
PRINT PACHANGA
EL PASO
The second PRINT PACHANGA happened in El Paso mostly from July 16th to 18th, 2026. Your blogger was only there on July 16th:
MANUEL GUERRA had a great print exhibition in Segundo Barrio on July 16, 2026, as part of the PRINT PACHANGA:

We used two kinds of AUGMENTED REALITIES -- MINDAR and <model-viewer> -- to conjure colored 3D ALBU-BRIJES in real world environments:
