I wondered if I could download one of his programs, to generate some of his art with an online program:

Then my mind started wandering.
Jared was working with tessellation artwork -- specifically with just two tiles discovered by Robert Penrose.
Later a single aperiodic monotile was discovered, and we have been working with that for our EXQUISITE TESSELLATION Print project.
Jared's talk introduced me to the beautiful patterns of Truchets.
I found a couple of online Truchet pattern generators:
Then I discovered how to create Truchet patterns with the single aperiodic monotiles.
I wondered if I could translate my drawings into Truchet patterns, but did not have great success in Midjourney (blending one of my drawings with a Truchet pattern). I probably need to do this more mathematically:

UPDATE (December 9, 2024): Julie Hayes was the first to figure out the maze, and therefore won the maze that Jared Tarbell laser cut:
