Southwest Print Fiesta 2025

At the SOUTHEST PRINT FIESTA  -- October 9th - 13th, 2025 --we had an EXQUISITE TESSELLATION exhibition, ran two tessellation workshops, and printed Big STEAMROLLER Tessellation Prints:

October 9th - 11th

Friday, October 10th

At FUTURE FORGE Makerspace, we passed out stiff foam curvy tessellation tiles, and asked visitors to gouge a design into them with a ball point pen. Then we printed them with a Tortilla Press.  52 people came to make prints at our Quick Tessellation Workshop:

The idea was to also put the tessellation tiles together and make a big print.  However only the University of New Mexico Print Department managed to make a big collaboration tessellation print:

Saturday, October 11th

We made big collaboration tessellation prints during the After-party at the Zocalo bar -- and started by making a collaboration print from the curvy foam tiles that visitors designed in the previous workshop at Future Forge:

Sunday, October 12th

We made 4 big EXQUISITE TESSELLATION Prints on the second steamroller printing day, from 20 inch wide tessellation linocuts -- by artists from Tucson (3), El Paso, Las Cruces, Albuquerque (4), Taos and Las Vegas, New Mexico:

THEN we decided to add some smaller

Terrified of leaving some materials in Albuquerque, I checked my BUCKET LIST several times -- and as I was leaving Albuquerque I drove under the BUCKET LIST balloon. How can it get any more poetic than that, especially as we post everything on the BUCKET EXHIBITIONS Blog:
