March 7, 2023

The Tuesday Night drawing group of Santa Fe drew both in person and on Zoom at the new Argos Gallery/Studio location. They arranged a hybrid real/virtual drawing session that had started during Covid.

I experimented with jagilley/controlnet-scribble" (which probably underlies Scribble Diffusion):

In this case
the top output
is very similar to the pen drawing I uploaded

Final result:
prompt: "a photo of a standing woman"

PRINTS

I drew on the Expanded PVC Foam with a gel pen, and then scribed into it with a steel and diamond scribe, and pushed into it with a ball point stylus, to get a variety of lines -- just like I did at Henry Morales's drawing session a week ago:

Gouged by various styli

I made a "rubbing" with pencil
to get a sense of how the plate would print

LIVE AI ART

We had a fun time drawing the live model on the computer screen, passing them back and forth in Zoom chat, and altering them with AI Art programs:

Holly drew in SCRIBBLE DIFUSSION with a stylus during the drawing session on Zoom.  Shethe tiny box of one of the other artists in the Zoom window, for instance:

Holly first drew the model with Scribble Diffusion, and I "blended" her first two figures in Midjourney:

She continued to draw the model with Scribble Diffusion, and I blended her third and fourth figures in Midjourney:

NOMAD SCULPT

Holly also downloaded the Nomad Sculpt app into her smart phone and experimented with this 3D drawing app during the figure drawing session:

Perhaps a YouTube tutorial by Dave Reed would help.
