December 1, 2020

The Tuesday Night drawing group of Santa Fe drew together online using Zoom, because of the Covid 19 quarantine. The model was in Virginia, and one of the artists drew from New Orleans.

Later I copied one of John Tollet's drawings from the same night:

John reworked the image and submitted it to the "Bodies/Boundaries" call-to-artists from Southwest Contemporary magazine on December 10th.

These drawings were made with the new Sharpie Gel pen .07. The images above were heavily edited with Deep Dream Generator, Petalica Paint, XnView and the Gimp. The last drawing is an abstract.

SOMA of Mexico City did an interview with Colectivo Cherani.  These artists are from Cheran, Michoacan, which is a pueblo that kicked out the illegal loggers, drug cartels and government from their village in 2011, and is now an autonomous self governing community.  We went to Uruapan, Michoacan last year, and hung out with some artists that were invited to hang their Zapata print exchange in the community center of Cheran.  In Patzcuaro we also met the artist Pahuamba from Cheran.
