Girl with a Pearl Earring

Currently there is a new AI Art controversy in The Hague over the AI version of Vermeer's painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring." Here is an article about it: Mauritshuis hangs artwork created by AI in place of loaned-out Vermeer.

An AI version won out over 3,482 entries, and now hangs in the place where the original Vermeer hung.

What the article does not mention is that FIVE of the entries were selected to be hung in the Mauritshuis Museum, including the one below by Vallarie Enriquez of El Paso, which is a photograph of her husband, not an AI version:
