JUAREZ

We are planning to show the EXQUISITE TESSELLATION Prints in Ciudad Juarez, in Mexico, in August 2025:

  • June 2nd -- we have to deliver a list of all the artists
  • July 21st- 23rd -- we have to deliver the framed prints
  • July 24th to August 6th -- hanging the show
  • August 8th -- the opening
  • October 7th - 15th -- taking down the exhibition
We are exhibiting in the Centro Cultural de las Fronteras, which is part of the University of Juarez, located across from the Juarez Museum of Art:

AI

Chinese AI is still raging in the news cycle.  Following the release of DeepSeek, the Chinese released an image generation program -- Janus Pro 1B.  

  • And there is this unusual Hugging Face page -- Janus Pro WebGPU -- where you apparently download huge files to make images online.

I used the Hugging Face demo -- Janus-Pro-7B Multimodal Understanding -- earlier this week before the hype surfaced:

I have not generated any great images in Janus yet -- Midjourney is still better -- but I have not pushed Janus Pro yet.  Moreover Janus probably will not censor my figure drawings.
