PRINTMAKING NEWS
PHOENIX
Stu looked at the BUCKET PRINTS
before the model showed up
at the Phoenix drawing group
While in Phoenix I visited XICO downtown, and met Esai Calles, Sylvia Hernandez and Donna Valdez, the Executive Director:

- Plus I also met Agustin Vargas at XICO as he was teaching classes there. He and I had the same lithography teacher, Leo Acosta, at the ex-Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City
TUCSON
I put up a ten minute pop-up exhibition at Cartel coffee house in downtown Tucson, mostly for the photo-op:

In 2016 we had a print show at the same Cartel coffee house in downtown Tucson -- Old Pueblo vs Portlandia:
IPE
(England)
I noticed that four of the El Paso artists submitted to the IPE 2021 (International Print Exchange) in England: Manuel Guerra, Susan Gonzalez, Adriana Zavala and Gummi Thordarson:
- The IPE put up an online 3D virtual print gallery (which takes a while to load)
We are showing the Ambos Lados prints at the Outpost Performance Space in Albuquerque, from January 24th - April 29th, 2022. The opening is from 5 - 7 PM on Saturday, February 5th, where we plan to do live Tortilla Press printing.
GEORGE STRASBURGER
Painting
While in Phoenix I saw a couple of George Strasburger's paintings at 9 The Gallery inside The Lawrence building:
- Tanya and I also visited George Strasburger in Tucson at his home/gallery.
