June 14, 2024 -- Portrait

The portrait session on Friday nights is free -- FRIDAY NIGHT FACES -- but the artists had to give their drawings to the sitter. This session was at Art Buddies in Albuquerque:

It was a rough day.  I-40 was closed off, so all the traffic rerouted on the city streets.  Then an accident kept me from driving up Coal, so I drove up Lomas -- but the electricity was out, so the stop lights were not working.  All this during rush hour, on a Friday afternoon.  The weather was overcast and raining a bit also.

So after finally arriving to draw, there were no lights, because the electricity was out.  So we drew in partial darkness for half the session, until the lights came on again.
