Second Reception at the North Fourth Art Center -- BUCKET EXHIBITIONS

THE SECOND RECEPTION at the North Fourth Art Center for the "Deck the Walls"-- where we were showing BUCKET PRINTS -- was more subdued than the big opening on November 10, 2023, but still a lot of fun:

The print

Virgil and Ellie printed in the back room, where people only trickled in.  However we kept very busy, experimenting with color and making free prints for the public on the Tortilla Presses:

We plan to send some of this prints to Rich to show in Peru.

While I borrowed a Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting machine from Quelab makerspace, we did not get around to using it at the reception.  However I did try it out the night before and it worked well for printing -- it was just too small to print on 8x8 inch paper.

However the Sizzix Big Shot Plus has a 9 inch opening, and should work well for print on 8x8 inch paper, so I am going to order one from Amazon.

Also a visitor told us about etching linoleum with Drano (see examples) after drawing with a soft graphite pencil.  The graphite works as a resist.
