¡ALBUЯ-BRIJES!

Inspired by the huge Oaxaca ALEBRIJES in downtown Albuquerque (from June 1st to July 17th, 2026), we have to answer them with our own versions -- the ¡ALBUЯBRJIES!

PROPOSITION

The proposition is to make small 8x8 inch ALBUЯBRIJES linocut prints -- that can be carried around in a bucket and shown on the spur of the moment.

I also want to enhance them with AUGMENTED REALITY.  So the prints will be scanned, colored and turned into 3D with AI -- and those 3D versions will superimposed on each print in AUGMENTED REALITY when the viewer hoovers their phone over the print.

VIRGIL VELASCO

Virgil Velasco was the first to start his print, on a 6x6 inch linocut square:

The drawing was enough to generate a colored version in 3D with AI:

Then we put it in AUGMENTED REALITY:

BARBARA ENDICOTT

Barbara Endicott started her linocut -- she showed me on June 30, 2026:

As I was talking to Mark Williams at Side Track Brewing Co, about carving an Alebrjie print on July 4, 2026, this Los Alebrijes food truck pulled up in front of us:
