DIE CUTTING
Adric had made a "Q" die
with a bandsaw blade
Inserting the "Q" die and the paper to cut
CRUNCH!
The "Q" die and the leather press
Ultimately he only got an embossing in the paper, no die cutting.
Apparently the leather press pushed the bandsaw blade deeper into the tile.
However we made a lot of progress, and I think this homemade die approach should work next time.
Earlier we used the same leather press tool to punch out linoleum tiles:
Adric brought up the mouse street art in downtown Albuquerque during Covid.
I told him about the Toynbee Tile (see blog and movie) I found during COVID at 2nd and Copper. It was still there when I physically checked the next day (I could find nothing about it online) -- however it looks like it is a knock-off "House of Hades" tile:

- I thought it would have been covered up as they repaired a big sink hole in the street at that same corner in 2025
