SEPTEMBER SUMMARY -- 2025

September disappeared in a PRINT CRUNCH -- while I was blogging about all the printmaking last month, and preparing for the Southwest Print Fiesta next month.  I managed to draw a couple of times in Santa Fe at the new Vital Spaces location.  However I was too busy to push AI ART as hard as usual, barely trying Google's NANO BANANA (which came out on August 26th).

Jeanette Cook hung several portraits from the last two years of the FRIDAY NIGHT FACES sessions, and had an opening on September 20th,2025 (and closing on September 27th):

I drew in Santa Fe with the TUESDAY NIGHT DRAWING group three times in September 2025:

PRINTMAKING

After a big printmaking month in August, the momentum did not stop:

AI ART

I was so busy with printmaking that I lagged on the AI ART front this month.  However I did try Google's NANO BANANA (released on August 26, 2025), and also the new styles function in Midjourney.

Specifically I took a photo of downtown Albuquerque, turned it into an Art Nouveau scene from the 1930s, and then applied various Midjourney styles to that Art Nouveau image to generate different city scenes:

This video above got 271 views (September 30th) and 5 "likes"
in two days after it was posted  --
my YouTube videos are lucky to get ten views ever

Then SORA 2 came out -- on September 30, 2025 -- two days after I uploaded my SEPTEMBER AI SLOP video.
Earlier in the month I found another music video that used my old 2020 AI model to generate the visuals:

I mostly continued to alter my drawings in KREA, using the AI models I had created previously:
