PRINTMAKING
Andrew rubbing charcoal on the linocut
before running it through the press
Ellie cranking the press
Then Ellie added some watercolors,
and we wet down the charcoal
The resulting print was ugly, however I think the idea is solid. We should figure out how to paint colors on the linocut and print it on location, in a Mokuhanga method:
The print was ugly,
but this is the start of a good idea
Then I took the FISKARS FUSE to print at Quelab, to polish up the system. I cut down the 1/4 inch piece of acrylic to a 12x12 inch sheet. I was using my new custom cut press bed -- 1/2 inch thick, 12x24 inch HDPE plastic from Port Plastics:
The resulting print still was a bit salty at the edge
