"Ein Stein" tile and other printmaking

Since I passed out a lot of these "Ein Stein" linoleum tiles since May 4th -- to make COLLBORATIVE TESEELLATION PRINTS -- I had to carve one of these "hat" shapes myself :

and then redrew it on another tile

I made a "rubbing" with my pencil
to anticipate how this linocut would print

As soon as we get a few of these "Einstein hat" tiles, we will start printing them...as soon as next Tuesday (May 14th) during Henry Morales' drawing session:

her "hat" linocut tile

UPDATE (May 14):  We pulled our first collaborative print in Henry's studio on May 14, 2024:

NOTE that this "hat' shape had been discovered a little over a year ago.  I first blogged about the idea on April 29th, and then described the whole concept in a post on the BUCKET EXHIBITIONS blog -- Exquisite TESSELLATION Prints -- but perhaps this YouTuber below explains things more clearly (though he is a little mathematical):

UPDATE (May 14):  I just gave a box of 20 laser cut linoleums to Anne.  This box makes the project nice and compact -- so that we could send this box to anyone in the country with a press, and let them make their own collaborative prints:
