We made a collaborative print in Henry Morales' studio on May 30, 2024:
The final collaborative print
Henry Morales, Ellie Weadock, Krrrl, Casandra Encinias, and Virgil Velasco all carved 12 x 6 inch linocuts from drawings that we all made from the same long pose during the drawing session on April 23, 2024 at Henry Morales' studio.

The first idea is to submit the collaborative print to the New Mexico Art League in Albuquerque for their Body Language exhibition, July 18 to August 17, 2024 (reception on August 3rd, 2024). The dimensions, including the frame, has to be no larger than 36 x 36 inches:

Drawing a template

Covering the template
with a sheet of plastic
Double sided tape on the plastic,
so that the plates don't migrate under pressure
when rolling through the press
Ellie tearing down the paper to size --
we used an Asian paper, Sekishu (24" x 39")
Laying out the linocuts
Shining a light on the linocut
to find the un-inked parts

Cleaning the linocut plates
with baby wipes
We made some proofs (of just four of the plates) during the drawing session on May 28, 2024, at Henry's studio.
- Next we will cut all these plates into thirds, and recombine them, to make "Exquisite Corpse" prints.
