PhotoMosh LINOCUTS

I uploaded my Midjourney AI generated images (as well as a few drawings and photos) to PHOTOMOSH, and used the "Linocut" option.  The idea is to then laser engrave them into 6x6 inch linoleum squares and print them on 8x8 inch paper:

I converted all the JPGs below into SVG vector files using Autotracer:

I also "blended" two linocut images in Midjourney,
to get a different linocut image

READY FOR ENGRAVING

Laser Engraved, Printed, Framed,
and hung at Quelab on March 13th, 2024

The above images have to be both "flipped horizontally" and turned into "negatives" before engraving into linoleum on the laser cutter, in order to print as they look above.

The images below are ready to be laser engraved:

In the wee hours of March 7th I laser engraved the above four images into linoleum:

This time after the engraving,
I let the laser cutter
cut the linoleum into 5.5 x 5.5 inch squares

  • Engraving Speed: 150
  • Power: 80 (max and min)
  • Cutting Speed: 20
  • Power: 100

The damp linoleum squares bowed up,
which can be a problem when printing

This linocut is backwards,
but should work well for transferring to Stamping Foam

MEANWHILE...

John Tollett laser engraved some linoleum at MAKE SANTA FE, and sent photos of these two linocut prints on March 7th:
