Adric recieved the Portrait Hologram Display that he ordered from Looking Glass Factory. He brought the hologram display to Quelab and eventually we created and successfully uploaded some of my images to view in 3D as holograms.
First mention of holograms:
HOLOGRAMSThe next challenge is to pump up the presentation. It would be nice to exhibit my digital 3D figures without using a VR headset like the Oculus. It looks like there are some hologram displays coming to market:
- Looking Glass Factory
- The world's highest-resolution holographic display
- Adric alerted me to their Kickstarter
- I could hardly believe my eyes! - Looking Glass Holographic Monitor
Other hologram displays:
- Voxon VX1 being demonstrated in London an Madrid
- You can feel and hear these holograms
- The WAVE - World’s Largest Anamorphic Illusion
- The First Desktop 3D Hologram Printer - by LitiHolo
Adric brought in the Looking Glass hologram portrait display to Quelab. The pre-packaged holograms looked great, but it was not straight forward to create and upload custom holograms (the Looking Glass conversion software did not work for converting 3D GLB files into holograms).
However one of my portrait drawings looked somewhat 3D after we uploaded it to the hologram display, though this was more of a happy accident:
Adric successfully created a hologram from one of my drawings using the Looking Glass online conversion tool:
