I would like to push my figure drawings even further with ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE in 2026, probably by downloading AI programs and running them locally on Quelab computers. The NVIDIA DGX Spark-4TB seems like it would run these big programs, plug-and-play, but it cost $4000:

HUNYUAN 3D from China (Tencent) came out about January 25, 2025:
- (GitHub) Hunyuan3D-2 -- it is Open Source and can be run locally *
- (Hugging Face) tencent/Hunyuan3D-2
- (Docker Hub) Hunyuan3D-2 to install locally
- (pinokio) Hunyuan3D-2-LowVRAM for running locally (only needing 6 Gigs of VRAM?) *
- (GitHub) Hunyuan 3D-2 add-on to BLENDER
- (Hugging Face) alexnasa/PartCrafter
- (GitHub) PartCrafter
- (GitHub) JackDainzh / PartCrafter-Windows (for local install) *
DiffSynth-Studio/Qwen-Image-i2L -- can quickly train a LoRA from just a few images (even as little as one).
THOUGHTS
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE took big strides in 2025. However I didn't experience any FUNDAMENTAL AI ART leaps last year:
- IMAGES: I could already alter my drawings with an AI Model trained on my drawings with Open AI in 2022, and Leonardo.AI in 2023
- 3D: I could generate 3D objects from 2D images since December 2022
- VIDEOS: I could upload an image and make AI videos since 2023.
- PROGRAMS: I even used AI to make my first art programs in 2024.
The online AI ART programs have improved, no argument there. However I will probably have to push into Apps and Vibe Coding (like using Claude VS CODE) to to get anything substantially different in art:
I ended last year posting the worst AI Slop I made in 2025, though ironically using all the AI firepower I could muster. I remixed a better version with this animated GIF below:

SNAPMAKER U1
On January 4, 2026, Dan brought in a SNAPMAKER U1 -- a four color cartridge 3D printer -- which was funded for $46,000,000 on Kickstarter:

and how it handles color
The SNAPMAKER prints color Layer by Layer
- I downloaded the SNAPMAKER Slicer -- LUBAN v4.15.0 (146.8 MB)
- The colored 3D files lost their color when imported them into the Slicer (such as the Voxel Javelina). I believe that the color has to be "baked" into the 3D file in order to get SNAPMAKER U1 to print in color.
