We drew at Sir Henry Morales' studio in Albuquerque:

PRINTS

AXLE

I laser engraved the Axle Contemporary logo into linoleum, anticipating making a print in front of their mobile art van in Socorro, New Mexico, on Sunday, September 1st, while they take photos for their project -- E Pluribus Unum: Mogollon:

APRON PRINTS

I brought some white aprons from Joann's to print on with our EXQUISITE TESSELLATION linocuts:

and two of his woodcuts

We printed with Gamblin Textile Ink (formerly Drive By Black ink).  Unlike the Speedball water-miscible oil inks we use to print on paper, this textile ink is thick and does not wash off one's hands easily:

The first print was by Henry Morales:

Henry printed with his feet -- using a Fezibo standing anti-fatigue board:

over a yoga mat
over the linocut
over the apron

Then we printed an apron with Ellie Weadock's tessellation tile:

Next week I will be making an EXQUISITE TESSELLATION print during the Tuesday Night Drawing session at Argos in Santa Fe.  I'm already on the flyer for September 3rd:
