PRINTS

This print was part of an "Arte en Vivo" event in El Paso on December 1, 2016 -- and based on a drawing from Tucson on November 17, 2014.

We had a hard summer rain on Saturday night, June 29th, which left a large pool of standing water next to the rail road tracks behind Quelab. I inspected the pond less than 24 hours later, on Sunday afternoon, and only saw big dragonflies.
The standing water pool behind Quelab,
on June 30th, 2024 --
I saw lots of dragonflies, but no tadpoles
However the next day, on Monday afternoon (July 1st, 2024), when much of the pool had evaporated, I saw many small tadpoles in the desert pond:
Two days after the rain burst (July 1, 2024),
I saw small tadpoles swimming in the standing water pool
