PRINTS

The big Albuquerque printmakers gathered at Henry Morales's studio to draw the figure:

After the session Henry Morales printed Virgil Velasco's linocut:

The image showed up on the opposite side of the paper
after printing
because it was on thin Japanese paper






Virgil printed on two different papers, and it made a difference.  He printed first on thin Japanese paper, which was whiter and more translucent.  Then he printed on Rives BFK Lightweight White paper, which was yellower:

Prints on both Eastern and Western papers --
The top ones on Japanese paper,
the bottom ones on Rives BFK


REX CULP

Rex Culp sent me his old linocut plate in the mail from Santa Fe, because he wanted more prints from it:

We originally printed Rex Culp's linocut plate two years ago, on August 7th, in front of Hecho A Mano gallery at the top of Canyon Road
