Fellow Artists,

I am creating another book displaying our art work from 3rd Street. This time the book will be organized around the models. I will provide you a list of models and you can submit your art, by email, to me, for consideration in the book. There is no cost for this. All of the proceeds from the book will go to the Albuquerque Museum (of Art). My hope is to raise enough money to get a plaque honoring the artists and models of 3rd Street in our museum. However, the last book only made $75.00. So I may be overly optimistic in thinking we can raise $2,500.00. I hope to get about ten models for the book and I'm half way there.

The following models have agreed (verbally) to be in the book and seem excited about it:

Joanna Lopez

Heidi Danielle

Tara Kolberg

Elnora Keller

Lawrence Wellborne (hasn't agreed yet, but I expect he will)

The model will get an introduction page, that they will create. Our art depicting them will follow their introduction page. I have enclosed an example using Lawrence as the model. If you want to participate, please send me your art depicting the models listed above. For each image I need:

1. Artist Name (required)

2. Model Name (required)

3. Medium (Ex. Oil on canvas, pencil on paper...), (required)

4. Size of the piece of art in inches height first, then width (Ex. 14" x 11") (optional)

5. Artist website (optional)

6. Artist email (optional)

Some artists have expressed concern that they cannot tell which model they have drawn or painted. That is a problem, but we can solve it. I would like the artist to be 95% sure of the model before they submit the work for the book. Remember, your name will If you are unsure, you have time to create. Pressure Russ to hire the models on the list for Wednesdays and Thursdays. Come to 3rd Street and draw them, this time writing the model's name on the art. Viola' you have created art for the book and you know which model you drew. Send it to me by email and you are a famous artist. It's just that easy.

Please start emailing me the art whenever you are ready.

Good luck and may the force be with you.
