Adric gave me a "holographic fan" to diplay images, and got it working for me at Quelab:
The holographic fan
delivers an unbroken image
in real life
- This "LED Hologram Fan" is also available on Amazon.
The software is on the mini SD card that comes with the holographic fan viewer. Just upload the image, and this software converts it automatically to the holographic fan format -- choose the "F-Mini11" equipment:
The converter software interface --
use the "F-Mini11" option
Then upload the converted files to the mini SD card, and put it back into the holographic fan display.
This YouTube has links to download the converter software:
- We first played with this back in April 2024.
EXHIBITION
I uploaded some round images that I generated with Midjourney using AI. Eight of those "converted" images can be downloaded HERE, ready to upload to the mini SD card.
I generated the round portraits of people and animals using AI in Midjourney, by adding "black and white linocuts in a circle" to the prompt:
*this idea credited to Adric
- One might also use Spiral Betty to create round images for the holographic fan display
LINOCUTS
I originally laser cut these round images into linoleum -- with a 4 inch diameter -- to print them on a Tortilla Press during the ABQ Rail Yards Sunday Market on
If I do live printmaking again, with these round portraits, I will add the holographic fan display to my Tortilla Press table. That will catch visitors eyes, and they will see what images can be printed.
